Synopsis
Rhys is a 19 year old who lives on a council estate. He has smoked cannabis since the age of thirteen and was diagnosed with schizophrenia when he was 17. He takes prescription drugs daily to help silence the voices in his head... At an illegal rave, he was given some acid and the cocktail of prescription drugs and LSD caused one of the voices in his head to manifest into a permanent hallucination. He now has a new friend - a gas mask wearing woman. His friends and family gradually start to distance themselves from him as they can clearly see how mentally unstable he is becoming... His parents are so concerned for his well-being that they try to get him sectioned, but when the ambulance turn up to his flat, he is gone...

Question 6: What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this project?
During the process of filming our preliminary task, I have learnt more about home the cameras work, also about how different camera angles have different effects on the viewer... I also learned about the rule of thirds and how it makes a shot more aesthetically pleasing. As well as a more informed knowledge of the recording equiptment, I also have more experience with the editing software. I have learned how to synchronize sound to film and the different effects and transitions that can be used on a piece of film...
I have also learned how to overcome problems with the quality of speech when recorded with the camrea... We simply re-recorded the voices in the sound-proof room, transferred it to iMovie and synchronized it with the film.
Cutting and re-cutting film clips to ensure continuity was boring at times, but we stuck with it as it is one of the most important things in our film.

Terminology...
Composition:
The composition is the layout of an image or set made up of different parts. This includes where things are situated in the shot and rule of thirds. The composition is used to create certain effects.
Editing:
Editing is used to make sure the finished piece is clean and cut. You use editing to add effects to your film, cut out chunks of film that aren't very good or not needed and to generally bring your separate clips of film into one whole piece.
Sound:
Sound is used to create a range of effects and provoke emotions in the viewer. This could either be music and soundtracks or simple sound affects.

- Diegetic sound: sound that other characters would be able to hear. A song on a radio for example.
- Non-Diegetic sound: sound that characters in the film cannot hear. For example background music or sound effects.
